Scotch Twosome Ready to Roll Nov. 21 to Benefit Club’s Community Chest

A Scotch twosome is kind of like a scramble in golf. The twosome works as one player, with one teammate bowling the first ball and the other the second of each frame. It moves quickly, and because two work together as one, we can get more players than normal into the mix. Like Mixed Bowling, we change alleys between games and play three games in the tournament.
It all starts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21. We’ll provide food, drink, rock and bowl, all for a paltry $20 per person (it is a fundraiser, after all), and we also encourage teams to bring snacks to keep the party going strong. Also, we’ll have some cool prizes to raffle off and other nifty stuff to give away. We happily accept raffle donations for this worthy cause
We will be honoring Paul Osborn’s memory — the great team spirit Paul and Shirley created together, both at the club and in our community. For those who didn’t know him, Paul was a long-time club member who also served as president. The Community Chest is the club’s charitable arm that, among other things, supports members in their time of need, the Montclair Ambulance Unit and the town’s 4th of July Parade. It also provides college scholarships.
Let me or Monica know if you want to bowl, and we’ll add you to the list.
Like Mixed Bowling, guests — family, neighbors and friends but no kids — are very welcome.
