Turkey Shoot Bowling Tourney

This three-game individual contest with handicap sets the table for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend.

Not all that long ago, the winner’s prize was actually a live turkey!

One year, as legend has it, Bert Bronander emerged victorious and may have made a stop to celebrate before heading home.

Once home, Bert simply left the turkey in the cardboard box in which he received it, on the kitchen table, closed using ye olde four-flap interlocking approach. (You know what I mean, but if you don’t, here’s the drill.)

Bert did not rise early the next morning, though his wife was up at her usual time. She saw the box on the kitchen table, and in her excitement quickly opened it. Out flew the gobbler, who preceded to poop on all four walls and both horizontal surfaces.
