As the world is experiencing an expanding outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a new coronavirus (COVID-19). With older adults and those with underlying medical conditions being at a higher risk of the person-to-person spread, we felt it was important to address club operations with you.
The Commonwealth Club will be CLOSED until further notice. No bowling or any other activities will be available. The board will reassess the situation every two weeks and act accordingly. At the moment, scheduled events, including the bowling season, are postponed, not canceled, pending further re-evaluation as this situation continues.
We continue to act in full compliance with the CDC, local and state health authorities and remain focused on prevention and continue to act with an abundance of caution in our decisions pertaining to the health and safety of all who enter the club. The Club is being cleaned top to bottom during this hiatus to further ensure the safety and well being of all who enter our doors.
The Commonwealth Club’s number one priority is the health and safety of our members, guests and staff.
We understand that this can cause concern and frustration but we again want to stress that we are doing what we can to protect those that live at and visit the Club.
Wishing you and your families health and safety and a swift end to this epidemic. Stay safe and healthy-stay home!
